Attention Kmart Shoppers!
Thank you for your support through our first year here at the World of Kmart blog. The new year will hold many new things, so please stick with us!
The first new addition is our Facebook fan page. If you are a member of Facebook, please become a fan of us! We will post news, including when new updates are added to the blog. You can also post any ideas and suggestions for the blog under the discussion tab on our fan page. Show your support for the World of Kmart, become a fan on Facebook!
Here at World of Kmart we love contributions. If you have a suggestion for the site, a Kmart story, photos, news, or anything you think we should add to the blog..submit it to us! You can email it to us here or become a fan on our Facebook page and add it to a discussion there. Note, once you submit something to us that you own (photos, story, etc), you give us the right to reprint it/post it on our sites. One of our goals for the new year is to get more contributors to the blog.
In honor of the new year and new decade, we will be holding a photo challenge giveaway here on the World of Kmart blog. You have the chance to get a $25 Kmart giftcard courtesy of the World of Kmart, by photographing your favorite Kmart location!
Here's the rules and details-
1. You have to take three (3) photos of the Kmart of your choice. Required photos are- a shot of the outside front of the store, a shot of the Kmart road sign, and a shot of the interior of the store (your choice of where in the store). Any other photos submitted with the required ones will not be judged.
2. Write a 1-2 paragraph summary about the store (features, history, trivia, etc.)
3. Photos must be taken by you and are property of you. Do not submit photos that are already on the internet or ones not taken by you, they will be disqualified. These must be original photos!
4. Once submitted, you surrender your rights to the photos and summary and grant us the permission to use them on the blog and our websites.
5. Photos will be judged on the quality of the shot (centered, not blurry, etc), the presence of anything special (like a unique Kmart sign) in the photo, overall appeal of the photos, and any other criteria deemed acceptable by the judge. Summary will be judged on how interesting and unique it is and how much information it provides.
6. The best looking Kmart store photos and summary will get a $25 Kmart gift card courtesy of the blog. All qualifying photos submitted will be featured on the blog after the challenge concludes.
7. Photo's and summary must be submitted by Saturday January 2, 2010. Winner will be announced Monday January 4, 2010.
8. You are participating on your own free will and are agreeing to not hold us responsible for anything that happens to you while you are taking or submitting the photos and summary. We are not related to Kmart or Sears Holdings in anyway.
9. Open to anyone willing to participate in the continental US, gift card will not be mailed outside the US.
10. Limit one photo submission per person per email address. More the one submission per person will be disqualified.
How to submit-
Send us your name, email address, the three required photos, and the 1-2 paragraph summary to the email address here. (You will be required to send us your full name, address, and phone number if you win the giftcard.)
